I was a full time Editor for Activision/Blizzard for 6 years and have a literal sword of Damocles to prove it. I finished my tenure as the manager of an entire post production department, working on world-renowned franchises Overwatch, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, & Hearthstone.
Primarily, I worked pioneering the post department for the esports division, earning 5 Emmy nominations (Have I mentioned those nominations yet?) Yearly, I would live edit for BlizzCon at stress level 9000. In my time there I edited, game captured, and delivered 1,000s of pieces of content for 2 congruent live shows. Here are some of my favorite pieces.
Overwatch League
Heroes never die. Pictures taken in game by me, used as a Social Media campaign.
Tourney Journey
I created a series with Michael Zhang that told the stories of glorious triumphs and bitter defeats while highlighting the beauty of the game itself. I was the producer, a game capture artist, and thumbnail designer. It became one of the most popular series on the entire channel accumulating millions of views.
Hero Reveal at Grand Finals 2022
Promos/Show Opens
There's nothing quite like hyping up a live crowd, promoting certain match-ups, skins on sale, or the start of a new season. These were satisfying to pull off, especially when you got to be in the arena.
Educational
Series to bring new players into the game or developing the story of what made a certain match great.
Branded Content
I had a traditional advertising background and started my time working with branded partnerships including Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, Toyota, & HP.
Game Capture - Commercial Breaks
Call of Duty
I was the manager of all the editors of the Call of Duty League. I would also have the honor to edit for the ultra successful franchise.
Hearthstone
I would frequently edit live panels and announcements for Hearthstone at BlizzCon. Additionally have edited an influencer series.
